Job Brief

The role of the warehouse operative/driver is to pick and pack items in accordance with current operating procedures so that they can be issued to the field engineering teams in a serviceable and economical state. The warehouse operative is to provide logistical support to the field engineering team on site when required. This will include the delivery of assets and also the return of items and waste materials back to Stakehill.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Check all deliveries against the delivery notes for accuracy and serviceability and report any discrepancies immediately to the Stores Accountant/Warehouse Manager. Ensure all items returned by the field engineers/couriers are recorded correctly on an Equipment Return Form (ERF) and passed to the office for the necessary accounting action to be completed.
• Ensure all assets leaving the warehouse are accounted for correctly and are recorded on the appropriate issuing paperwork or pick list. All issuing paperwork and delivery notes are to be passed to the office.
• Storage of assets and equipment and recording of locations within the Stakehill warehouse facility in line with current regulations and procedures.
• Carry out stock checks when required and instructed by the Stores Accountant and ensure accurate records are maintained. Assist with the yearend stocktake.
• Deliver assets to field engineers when required and the removal of waste material and assets not required to the Stakehill facility for disposal or putting back into stock in accordance with Clarke Telecom procedures. Sort and list stock returns.
• Ensure the warehouse facility is kept clean and tidy at all times and the assets are correctly stored and identified within the pallet racking and shelving.
• General assistance to the Stakehill Office team.
• Maintenance/upkeep of the Counterbalance FLT’s.
• Raise any concerns regarding the assets held at Stakehill with the Stores Accountant/Warehouse Manager.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

1. Warehouse / logistics experience.
2. Counterbalance Operator and holder of an in date RTTIB/ITSAR Qualification
3. Good IT skills.
4. Clean UK driving licence.
5. Customer focus internal and external.
6. Team player.
7. Self-starter displaying strong initiative.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Ability to manage complexity and work under pressure.
10. Ability to prioritise workload and flexibility to meet the demands of the business.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

1. Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH).
2. Experience of working in a Telecoms environment.
3. Good IT skills.

Hours of Work
Mon – Fri 07:00 – 17:00 50 hour week
